A creative hotspot for and by residents. The building, with 87 residences and a courtyard, is inhabited by artists, students, the original residents, and creative entrepreneurs working in hip-hop, dance, graffiti, architecture, interior design, photography, poetry, fashion, and design. Living in the Heesterveld complex automatically makes you a member of the Heesterveld Creative Community.
Together with de residents and Ymere (the housing corporation), Eva has started a recruitment and selection team in order to make sure that every space was utilized and a close knit community could be formed. An association with workgroups dealing with Business and Development, Programming, and Art in the public places was also founded. This has all been done in close collaboration with the people living there, with the possibility in mind that, when everything is running smoothly, Eva can withdraw and the residents can continue independently.
