The transformation of the NDSM Shipyard from derelict industrial site to cultural hotspot has received much foreign attention. The experimental approach (bottom-up with participation of the future residents), and the financial commitment and creative freedom of the end users were something never before seen in urban planning. This, combined with the huge scale of the project, has gained world-wide admiration.
Eva is regularly asked to give lectures and workshops in other countries about this method of urban planning. At the invitation of artists such as the Dane Olafur Elliasson and the ‘pope of art’ Trevor Davies, but also at the invitation of architecture centres, governments, property developers, and platforms, Eva participates in conferences and meetings, the locations of which include Ârhus, Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Istanbul, Køje, Kopenhagen, London, Madrid, München, Osaka, Oslo, Roskilde, Valencia, Vienna, Yokohama, and Zagreb.
